Celebrities Turn a Page for Kids Impacted by Coronavirus

Millions of children in the U.S. rely on schools for education and food.

But the coronavirus has closed schools nationwide, leaving many of these kids without both.

That’s why actors Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams opened a book to read a story online and raise funds to feed hungry kids while classrooms are closed.

Through a partnership with Save the Children, #SAVEWITHSTORIES is bringing celebrities together on Instagram to support hungry kids, and our organizations.

“Save the Children and No Kid Hungry are on the ground serving children who need our help now more than ever,” Adams said. “With school closures across the country, these children are extra vulnerable.”

Garner and Adams are inviting a star-studded host of friends to join in. Celebrities from Ellen DeGeneres, Lin Manuel Miranda and P!NK to Steve Carrell, Jeff Bridges and Kerry Washington have opened a kids book and shone a light on the issues that many children in our country are facing today.

And more celebrities continue to crack open copies of classics like Horton Hears a Who, ¡El gallo que no se callaba!, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar for the millions of kids who are home from school.

With more than 185,000 followers and over 50 million video views, #SAVEWITHSTORIES is giving hungry children the attention they need and deserve now more than ever. For that, we can’t thank these stars enough -- especially Garner and Adams, who offered some hopeful closing words in their first video.

“There’s so much goodness and love in the world,” Garner shared.

"We can get through this together,” Adams said.
