1/25/19, WASHINGTON, DC - Today, the Administration announced it has reached an agreement with Congressional leaders on a short-term bill to reopen the government after a 35-day partial shutdown. The bill, which is expected to be quickly voted on, will provide funding for the government through Feb. 15.

The following is a statement from Share Our Strength's Director of Government Relations and Advocacy, Jason Gromley.

"This short-term bill is an acknowledgment of the impact this shutdown has had on families across the country. We appreciate that the Administration and Congress were able to reach an agreement that will reopen the government and at least temporarily stop the hardship and uncertainty felt by families across the country.

We urge Congress to act quickly and will continue to work on behalf of hardworking families and advocate for smart policies that feed and protect children."
