The Next Generation of Anti-Hunger Leaders

One of the ways that No Kid Hungry works to end childhood hunger in the United States is by helping the next generation of leaders feed kids in their communities.

Summer 2019 No Kid Hungry Youth Ambassadors gathered on Capitol Hill.

Like Ewan, who delivers food and clothing to homeless families in Detroit. Or Luz, who convinced her church to start a Summer Meals site for kids in her community. Or Kimberly and Besa, who spent last summer going door-to-door so that families in Columbus, Ohio knew where the closest free meals site was for their children.

Luz Holmes turned her church into a meals site for kids in her community.

For years we’ve supported work like theirs under the banner of Generation No Kid Hungry, where we highlight the stories of young people feeding hungry children and bringing attention to our cause.

Today, we’re saying farewell to the Generation No Kid Hungry website and social media channels.

Young people are connecting and organizing online in new ways, and we want to make sure No Kid Hungry is meeting them where they are. With your help, we’ll continue to empower leaders like Ewan, Luz, Kimberly and Besa as they work to make sure no child goes hungry.

Make sure to follow No Kid Hungry on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and visit us at NoKidHungry.org, where we’ll be sharing more stories of young people doing amazing work.

Special thanks go to the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, which has been a true partner, generously funding much of our work with youth for many years and always encouraging us to do more.
