How We Helped Provide Over One Billion Meals to Kids

"We have so much food in this country, so much wealth and so many resources. Shame on us if we let even one child go hungry." - Cindy Tinnel, school cafeteria manager, Knoxville, Tenn.

As a nation, we have enough for everyone -- more than enough. Yet there are children in the United States who don't know where their next meal will come from.

Why do some kids have everything they need to live happy, healthy, productive lives while other kids don't? We know the reasons are complicated, and sometimes they can seem impossible to address.

But childhood hunger isn't complicated. It's a problem we know how to solve.

And we can prove it.

Today we're announcing that, together with our partners, we've helped provide over one billion meals to kids since the No Kid Hungry campaign began in 2010.

Feeding children who might go without isn't glamorous work. It doesn't make the headlines. So we want to take a moment to thank every one of you who makes this possible, from the school cafeteria manager who makes sure kids coming off the bus get breakfast to the volunteer who raises money by baking cupcakes to the state agency official who helps schools start afternoon meal programs.

To each of you, and to the countless more who willingly give their time, money, talent and heart to this work: we see you all, and we love you for it.

Together, little by little, we're moving closer to a day when no child in America will go hungry.

Find out what you can do to help hungry kids.
