WASHINGTON, DC – Today the Senate passed the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (S. 3042), also known as the Farm Bill. It passed by a vote of 86-11. The following is a statement from Share Our Strength’s Senior Vice President Lisa Davis. “We applaud the Senate today for passing a bipartisan Farm Bill that protects and strengthens the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) so that hardworking families are supported as they strive to move out of poverty and kids can continue to receive the nutrition they need to reach their full potential.

"We look forward to working with Congress on a final bill that is bipartisan and continues to protect and strengthen this critical program.”
