Congress made historic cuts to SNAP last year. The Farm Bill, soon coming to a vote in the House, could be the last chance to undo that. If it passes without fixing it, the next opportunity could be 2031.

What To Say
WHEN THEY PICK UP OR YOU REACH VOICEMAIL:
You don’t need to say anything else. If they ask questions you don’t know the answer to, “I just want my call noted in support of restoring SNAP funding” is enough. You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to call.
What You Need to Know
1. This is our chance to undo historic cuts to SNAP
Last year, Congress made the biggest cuts to SNAP in the program’s history, resulting in 2.5 million people losing their grocery benefits already despite the fact that not all changes have gone into effect yet.
2. The Farm Bill is where SNAP lives
Most people picture farms when they hear "Farm Bill," but food assistance is actually a major part of this legislation and it’s the primary way Congress sets SNAP policy.
3. Farm Bill policy is set for 5 years
This isn't something Congress will revisit next year. Whatever Congress passes in the final Farm Bill will set the terms through at least 2031, or longer. What passes in the House will be sent to the Senate to vote on.
4. Your voice matters
Calls and voicemails get logged. This is genuinely one of those moments where constituent contact moves votes. Let's make sure they hear us loud and clear.
