At No Kid Hungry, we are driven by a simple yet powerful mission: to end childhood hunger in America. Millions of kids across the country don’t have access to the food they need to thrive. The funds raised through Harvesting Hope will help us connect children and families to healthy meals, to ensure kids are fueled for learning, and to give them the best possible chance for a bright future.

I asked our No Kid Hungry Virginia champion and Director of Nutrition for Louisa County Public Schools in Virginia, Randy Herman, to share a few words about what your efforts mean to her and her work:
“In the past decade, I’ve witnessed an increasing number of families struggling to put food on the table. In our community of Louisa County, just a few miles down the road from Keswick, the schools are often the sole provider for a lot of the kids’ needs – especially nutrition. Everything the Keswick Team does to support and lift up the work of No Kid Hungry, helps make my dreams of connecting more kids and families to meals possible. And when kids don’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from, they can focus on learning and growing. Thank you for all you are doing to support No Kid Hungry and the kids in our community, in Virginia, and across the country!”
