A Year Ago, Congress Cut SNAP. Today, You Can Help Undo It.

A year ago, Congress made the largest cuts to SNAP in the program’s history, and already families are feeling the impact. Millions of households have seen benefits reduced or eliminated, including families with children who use SNAP for consistent access to food.

The impact isn't abstract. It shows up in grocery budgets that no longer stretch far enough, in skipped meals at the end of the month and in the growing number of children who no longer receive the assistance their families previously counted on to put food on the table.

These losses have accumulated fast, and the numbers keep climbing. And families aren’t the only ones absorbing the impact. The cuts also shift costs to states, straining already-stretched budgets and, ultimately, threatening the ability of families to access the program at all.

SNAP has been there when families need it most. And it should be again. Tell Congress to restore SNAP for kids and families.
