Panel Discussion - "Connecting The Dots." Connecting families in need with food is critical, but unless parents and caregivers know how to shop for and cook healthy, delicious and affordable meals, we will not be able to have a lasting impact on childhood hunger. This panel examined the effects of education as an anti-hunger strategy from a public health, culinary, corporate, and government perspective. Panelists include Kevin Concannon (Undersecretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services, United States Department of Agriculture), Dawn Sweeney (President and CEO, National Restaurant Association), Joe Quinn (Senior Director, Issue Management and Strategic Outreach, for Walmart), Marc Murphy (Executive Chef & Restaurateur of Benchmarc Restaurant Group), and Dr. Rhonique Harris, MD (Children's Health Fund). The panel is moderated by Corby Kummer, Senior Editor for The Atlantic magazine.
