Angels on Earth

We have to admit we're a little biased about the new book "Angels on Earth: Inspiring Stories of Fate, Friendship, and the Power of Connections", since it includes a chapter on our very own Debbie Shore, co-founder of Share Our Strength, the nonprofit parent organization of No Kid Hungry.

But Debbie's story is just one of many in the book, all of them about moments where chance encounters with strangers or unexpected twists of fate changed the course of a life, and the outsize role that acts of kindness played. Laura Schroff and Alex Tresniowski, the authors, tell about a number of moments like that from Debbie's life, moments that led directly to the creation of No Kid Hungry, and the campaign's legacy of providing hungry kids with hundreds of millions of meals.
