Amy Crowell is Director of Grassroots Fundraising and Youth Engagement for Share Our Strength. Her role is a fun one in that she gets to work with people of all ages that want to help end childhood hunger by engaging their friends, family and schools – whether it be by hosting a bake sale, soliciting donations on behalf of No Kid Hungry for an athletic event or getting their classroom at school to bring in coins. When not at work, Amy likes to read, cook or explore new foods and spend time with her husband and three children, who just happen to like hosting bake sales too!
With Halloween just around the corner and a crispness in the air, it’s hard to deny that the holidays are getting close. And like many people, one of my favorite holiday traditions involves baking.
This time last year, thanks to generous funding by Sodexo Foundation, Share Our Strength launched NoKidHungry2.org, a fun and interactive website for youth of all ages.
